In Never We Trust is a commentary on the ease that financial institutions produce negative capital through the unregulated use of fractional reserve banking. These speculative and debt-based systems flood our marketplaces and destroy the world’s economy.
I wanted to create money pits where currency bubbled out of the ground and spilled out onto the surface. The design of the bills and accompanying graphic is based on the the 1996 United States one hundred-dollar bill.
